What we’ll work on:

  • Identifying your triggers (is it stress, boredom, fear of failure?)

  • Learning to manage the emotions that lead to overeating

  • Finding new appreciation for your body, at any size!

  • Relearning what physical hunger feels like

  • Learning to listen to your body and trust that it knows what it needs

  • Making peace with the scale

  • Recognizing negative self-talk and how to change it

  • Developing new behaviors to replace eating

  • You’ll have homework and exercises (not physical) to deepen the work

Your husband is addicted to his phone and you head to the kitchen

You’re single, everyone has someone except you, but you have your dog, a bottle of wine and too much cheese

What just happened? It’s called Emotional Eating: you’re triggered by an emotion, maybe it’s stress, feeling alone, anger or sadness, maybe you’re confused or overwhelmed. You deal with it in the way you’ve learned to: you eat. Then you can beat yourself up for eating rather than deal with the emotions.

It becomes a habit and you may not even know you do it. Intuitive Eating brings awareness to the behavior patterns that keep you stuck in the cycle of gaining and losing weight so you can identify triggers and unhook them from food.

When you recognize and understand what you’re doing—using food for comfort, or to avoid uncomfortable feelings and situations—you can change the pattern.

I know because I’ve been where you are, I was an Emotional Eater. I know what it’s like to put your life on hold until you lose the weight.

 

How it Works


Standard Rates:

6 weeks of coaching: $175/session = $1,050

12 weeks: $150/session = $1800 (a $300 savings)

Sliding scale offered depending on availability.


A weekly call, a dedicated time for you to explore your relationship with food in a safe, supportive space. Each week I’ll share information and tips to build a strong foundation for unhooking yourself from your food habit.

Support in integrating the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating which are critical to the process of transforming your relationship with food into a healthy and comfortable one.

I’ll be by your side as you explore the role food is playing in your life. I’ll share tools for developing a connection with your body and your hunger. I’ll be your partner as you learn what makes you feel whole and begin to let go of the need to eat when you’re not hungry.

I am available to you by email between sessions for support, a new perspective, or maybe a laugh! (The Mayo Clinic says laughing can activate organs that cause endorphins to be released from your brain and relieve stress, I’m in!)
